Elevator Pitch No.1- Alchohome
We are Alchohome. Our CEO, Brian Glennon, identified a tremendous problem troubling communities everywhere and we have dedicated our lives to fixing it. The opportunity in question is that of a mobile alcohol delivery service. Alcohol is the one thing that if you need MORE of, its probably safe to assume you definitely shouldn't drive to get it. Is that going to stop a drunk you from doing whatever is in your power from getting more ethanol into your bloodstream? Probably not.
So we decided to give you some more power.
There's going to be an app for delivery. There's going to be a storage house, maybe multiple if expansion happens. There's going to be someone with 10,000$ so we can get a liquor license. We have people ride around on bikes, or scooters, cars for big orders, and deliver alcohol tobacco and anything else i'm forgetting at the moment that is legal and people like to use to slowly kill themselves.
So we decided to give you some more power.

Hi Brian,
ReplyDeleteI found your opportunity very interesting. As a business ventures, there will be many guidelines you would have to follow.
Also, many of the students at UF are under 21. What will be your way of verifying if there are of age when they order on the app?

Brian,
ReplyDeleteThis idea. I'm ready to sign up. LOL. This is an opportunity you can take advantage of anywhere. I don't live on campus and I would def pay to have someone deliver alcohol. There would be many obstacles your venture would face. How would you verify authentic identification? Would there be a limit on deliveries to avoid alcohol poisoning? How will you keep you drivers safe from robberies and theft? Overall, GREAT idea! I like how you identified a huge need and presented a solution. You seem like you will be able to do well in presentations in the future. Best of luck!

ReplyDeleteHello Brian,
ReplyDeleteI’m personally not a big party girl but I know that a lot of college students would find your idea very useful/helpful. As mentioned before this would be something very complicated to regulate. There are a lot of under-age students that use fake IDs on the daily, so how would you prevent minors from purchasing from your store? Feel free to check out my blog at http://ent1646.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-1.html
Brian, this is a hilarious but also super helpful idea! I can see a ton of people using this, and honestly it would be super safe as well. How would you ID people to make sure they're over 21? And how far would you deliver? Just in Gainesville? Overall, great idea. You can check out my post where I talk about parking on campus if you'd like (http://taylorjnoe.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-1.html).
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your pitch and what you wrote in your post! This idea does have potential but there are many very complex hoops to jump through in order to become operational. Once licensing and regulations are figured out, however, you could have a profitable business if positioned correctly. You definitely have a large pool of potential customers with college students, but think of how you could expand your market to others. Good job!

ReplyDeleteHey Brian,
ReplyDeleteYour idea is definitely interesting and is based on a unique concept. I completely agree that we need to increase preventative measures for drunk driving. The real question is if you delivering alcohol would really prevent people from making such a terrible decision? In my experience drunk people typically have access to alcohol, what they don’t have access too is something like food or a ride home. Check out my pitch. https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=8729527358278987898#editor/target=post;postID=7540962574659123133;onPublishedMenu=posts;onClosedMenu=posts;postNum=2;src=postname
