One Entrepreneur who has influenced my life significantly is Jamie Day. He was my ToK teacher in 11th and 12th grade and someone who may be featured on here more frequently as an excuse to talk to him again. He's the only person besides my dad to independently own buildings in downtown St.Pete, my home city. He influenced my way of thinking quite a bit. He was the first person to stress methods of thinking and being aware of ones on thought process in a classroom setting, which validated it in a way for me.
This of course relates heavily to entrepreneurship as it focuses on the disposition one develops and the perspective lens through which one views life. He stressed getting to know oneself before embarking on anything that can be construed as a career as you are by far your most important asset. He also stressed how its much more difficult than any of us then 11th graders understood it to be, finding oneself.
I hope to just continue to learn about the world through this class, maybe meet some interesting people, gather some perspectives, gain confidence in myself as an entrepreneur.
